Monarch Mermaid

Hi there everyone!!!

Today I want to show you a card I made using an image from the August release at Crafts and Me.  This one is called Monarch Butterfly and she is designed by Hannah Lynn

I really do love this image a mermaid with butterfly wings - well some of my favourite things... and together is just magical!!  I also love how she is cuddling up to a cat.  I made him grey like my very first cat Smokey.... anyway here is my card, I hope you love it as much as me:-)

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #161

Good Morning Everyone!!!

It's time for another awesome new challenge at Magnolia Down Under and this week our theme is: All Stitched up.... Use real or Faux stitching on your creations!!

I've dragged out the sewing machine and stitched around my paper and my Tilda with Carrots!! So here is what I made - I hope you love it as much as me:-)

We can't wait to see what you come up with this week, and next week OMGOSH how exciting I will be at Paperific in Melbourne hanging out with my besties - I so cannot wait.... and get this our house is going to be finally finished as well!!! WHAT A WEEKEND!!!

Time to get Sketchy with Chantel

How has your day been everyone?

I hope it has been great, It's Saturday afternoon here and has been a perfect day for crafting - but then everyday is isn't it??

Late Summer Fun at Tilda's Town

Hi there Everyone!!!

Well what a week I've had, a few toooo many drama's happening at the new house but we have managed to sort most of them out - thank goodness talk about massive headaches!!!  Not long to go now before we move in - just a couple of weeks !!!! OMGOSH so exicited!!

This week at Tilda's Town the Theme is Late Summer Fun.... I love summer and I can;t wait for it to arrive, lucky winter is almost over for us here in Tassie - the past couple of weeks has been freezing with lots of snow in the high country!!

I've used Hooked Tilda and the Rescue Tower for my card.... my image had a little bit of a disaster strike by the hands of darling Ruby... omg so crapped off.... you can scroll down below to see the hole she put in the back ground... but after a few suggestions from my friends on Facebook - I took Lovely Jane's advise and this is the outcome.... hope you love it as much as me LOL 

So this is what she did.... I had it all ready to stick onto my card when she has run off with - while I was on the phone and stabbed it with the scissors.... I guess she was forcing me to be a little more creative today!!! I had a few cool suggestions on Facebook on how to fix it, one was to stick a fish on over the top of the hole.... that was a good one and one I had thought of myself!!! ButJane suggested that I cut her out, stamp Tilda again on another peice of paper and then place my cutout on over the top so that I would still have the fishing line and without a hole... so that's what I did.... I guess it's like a 1 layer Paper Tole hahahahahahah Thanks Jane for saving the day!! And the fish charm does look pretty cool too!!! Thanks girls:-)

Upcycling or Recycling at Paper Play this week!!

Hello again!!

This week at Paper Play we are being a little "Green" and recycling and up cycling old things to make new and beautiful things:-)

I've done some recycling - a brown paper bag which I cut with a MFT die, some old buttons, some bar codes off some packaging!!!  I'm rather pleased with how it all turned out, and I really thought this  little Saturated Canary image would be perfect to go with - so here it is I hope you love it as much as me:-)

So there you go!!  Go and find some quirky and interesting things and stick them on a card.... can't wait to see what you all come up with:-)

Phlox Princess

Hi There everyone

OMG I have been so busy over the past week or so, trying to get ahead in all my Design Team work.... so that I wouldn't have to take a break when we move house.... but I think I'm going to have to take a break at the end of this month - I just can't manage it all!!! But we will see how we go before I have to pack my crafty goodies up to go into my new room!!

Anyway this week I want to show and tell you all about one of the gorgeous Images which is available from Crafts and Me - this one is called Phlox Princess and she is designed by Sara Burrier.  I love this image she looks so magical - like a fairy tale princess to me... so here she is I hope you love her as much as me:-)

I've coloured her with my copics and also gave her some sparkle to the pretty bits on her dress with some Atyou Spica pen in clear.  I've also added some Liquid Pearls around her... she looks so pretty I think!!

Strawberry Fields.....

mmmmm Strawberry Fields Forever...... 

I love that Beetle's song, and get this - I have even been to "Strawberry Fields" in central park New York.... just near John Lennon's apartment...  pity I don't actually like to eat strawberries hhahahaha

Anyway getting down to business - It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under and this week we are after a Card and a Separate Matching Tag - you know the kind where you have the tag on a parcel... hehehehe so cute!!!  This week I have used Tilda and Jam from Turning Leaves Collection... so here is the card - hope you like it as much as me:-) 

And here is my Tag - I've used the same Magnolia Strawberry paper, lace and ribbon, but this also has a cute Strawberry box that I made using the MFT berry die!!

Inspirational Friday at La La Land!!!

Hi there everyone... It's time for another Inspirational Friday over at La La Land Crafts, and this week as you may have already seen, we are doing more than 1 fold!!

For my card I've made a Gate Fold, basically it's just 2 cards joined together with the fronts folded back... to see it better in the next pic down.  

I've used Daisy Faerie Marci, Mushrooms, the Fence and a bunch of dies to create my card... so here she is I hope you love it as much as me:-)

This is the card folded out, you can see in the inside better.  I love making these types of cards as you can really go a little bit nuts with it, and decorate it up crazy!!

Tilda's Town going Very Old Style....

Hi there everyone!!


It's the start of a new challenge at Tilda's Town... and if you haven't already guessed, by my clue... the theme is: VINTAGE


I love making vintage looking cards, although I don't think I have really hit it on the nail so to speak - I think my style is a little more shabby than vintage... but oh well I tried and that's all you need to do!!!


So here is my card, I've used the super awesome and fantastically cute, Scooter Tilda!! I think she is my favourite from the Turning Leaves collection, although they are all rather special I love them ALL... so here she is - hope you love her as much as me:-)

Lots and Lots of Layers at Paper Play...

Hello - how are we all??

I'm pretty good actually - except for a bit of a sore back that just doesn't wanna seem to go away... grrr... but as always it will get better..

This week at Paper Play Challenges we are after lots and lots and lots of Layers in your cards... I've used 2 bits of paper and layered them on top of each other and then used some wide lace as another layer... My sweet stamp is Tilda with Peanut.... so here she is: 

I've also used some magnolia doo hickey's as in the cat, the cloud and the heart leaves... I thought the cat would be cute with the little mouse.... hehehehehhe

Crafts and Me - Easter Lily Fairy Showcase...

Hi there Everyone!!!

It's Karen here and today I get to show you a Brand Spankin' new Digi which is released today at Crafts and Me - designed by Hannah Lynn!!!!  

The name of this little beauty is: Easter Lily Fairy.... awwwwwww she is so pretty!!!!  I've coloured her with my Copic's and I have tried to give the flowers a bit of an exotic look by making them orange with red centres.... this is also one of my favourite ways to colour flowers!!! So here she is - I hope you love her as much as me!!!!

I've used some Marianne D Dies, on my card, and there is an awesome range of dies available in store here....

So have you been enjoying the Olympics ????  I have I love them - I think my favourite sport is the swimming and the diving... 

Anyway that's all from me this week... don't forget though - there is a new challenge just started over at the challenge blog - and I know the Design Team girls have creative absolute masterpiece's for you this week!!!
