I've been Scrappin' again :-)

*** Please enter my candy by clicking on the photo in the top of my side bar***

Hi Everyone

Just thought I would show you a couple of pages that I have done over the past few days.  Actually last weekend!! Ruby found some old silk gerbera flowers in the bottom on the Linen cupboard, and decided that they were just toooo PRETTY to stay in there!! Anyway her new word is Pretty... it's so cute when she says it.  And she usually says it when she see's a flower.  Our garden at the moment has heaps of spring bulbs up so when she walks past "pretty" is what she says... tooo cute!

And here is the second page, she is still playing with the flowers, but just to be a little different I printed them in Black and White

Thanks for looking:-)

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #111

Crikey!!! Tilda's got a bunch of flamin' Galah's....

Hahahahahah couldn't resist a bt of Aussie slang for my Magnolia Down Under Challenge card this week!!  The theme is Texture... we wanna see some different and interesting things whacked on your cards/creations.  For my texture I have used some Hesian or some people might called it burlap?? anyway the peice I had was old and a creamy yellow colour so I chopped a bit off and chucked it in a bucket with some Parisan Essence - you know the stuff that you make gravey with? anyway it stains the fabric... So here is my very Australian themed Textured card, I hope you love it as much as me:-)

So what a Galah?? It's an Australian Native Bird, and actually one of my favourites.  They are a little bit like a parrot and come from the Cockatoo family.  Galah's are a gorgeous Grey and Pink in colour. So for my Galah's I have used the cute little Tilda's Birds and coloured them so that they look a little like Galah's!!  In the next picture I've given you a little bit of a close up and I've actually managed to capture some sparkles this week:-) heheheheh Yay for me:-)

I'm really looking forward to seeing what textures you girls and guys bring to your creations this week:-) It's just awesome begining able to see so much creativeness each and very week:-) I love being part of the Magnolia Down Under Family!! Also you certainly don't wanna miss out on seeing what the rest of the gorgeous Design Team ladies have made for you so go on head on over to the blog....

Plain Old Biscuit Tin gets a Magnolia Makeover!!

Well today started off lovely - sun was shining, and was reasonably warm... BUT then of course the clouds came and then the wind and then the RAIN... OMGOSH so over the rain... Anyway this afternoon I have finished my little recycling project that I wanted to do for the new TOMIC challenge:-)

I've had this biscuit tin for a couple of years now (actually I have 3) I don't remember where I got it from?? So I decided to turn this:

Into this:

Hehe sorry about the wonky biscuit tin picture... I didn't realise it was like that!! Anyway what do you think? I love it, I'm so pleased with how it turned out:-) It's new life is now as a place to pop flowers that I'm currently using into it.  You know how you get like 25 or 50 in a packet from Wild Orchid Crafts... well I can now pop those little bunches of 5 into this as I'm using them!!!  The next picture is of the lid:-) I wanted to keep it plainish, so I only popped on some flowers, a tassel and a Prima Trinket onto the handle:-)

Here is a better look at the front of the old biscuit tin, I received my new Sweet Rainbow Doo Hickey's in the mail today (YAY) so I used the cute little round doily!! Also I've used a couple of others but I've had those ones for ages!!!

So thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look:-)

I've Been Scrappin!!!!

Hey Everyone, I was going to post this yesterday, but unfortunately for me, my back has decided to cause me some major pain... argh... anyway... this page is of course of my Daughter Ruby.  She is almost 2 (in a couple of weeks) and this photo was taken last November, on the day she got her first pair of glasses. She was 14 months old.

It was so amazing when she first got them, she was in awe of everything that she could see, details that she had been missing out on, birds in the sky, people smiling, pictures in a book, etc - basically all the things that we take for granted!! So here is my page, I hope you love it as much as me:-)

Here is a bit of a closer look... Ruby is so good with her glasses she hardly ever takes them off because the difference in having them on to having them off is just so profound!!! .  Although this first pair soon had to be replaced, because at 14 months Ruby was teething... so yep these poor little glasses are completely trashed by tooth marks and paint chips!!! and they are a little bent - thank goodness for titanium these are designed especially for little kids so that they don't break - but of course with enough force they will - or pop out a lense which has happened too!!!

So thanks for looking, and for taking a little walk down memory lane with me:-)

Paper: Prima and White Card, and green scrap
Fancy Stuff: Prima Flowers, Maya Road Flower, Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, Prima Bling Swirl, Prima Lace, American Craft Thickers, Kaiser Letters, and Scrabble Letters, String and Tag. Martha Stewart Punches
