Don't know if I can do this or not?

But I will anyway!!!

I've made another card for The Pink Elephant.  Wasn't all that happy with how the first one turned out with my Tilda scene (colouring ok - card not so)

So here it is, its a gate fold card, because I love them!!  They just just so fancy pants I think:-) Sorry the pic's are that great but if you saw the weather here, you would understand!!  There has been all sorts of weather warning's here in Tassie this morning and OMGosh, its been so windy, pouring with rain and cold. Yuck!!  (so nice for my husband to be flying to Melbourne in, NOT!! - eeck hope he wasn't sick!!)

This is it folded out, there is another butterfly tucked around the corner the same as the one you can see.

Well Hi Everyone!!  Here is a card that I made yesterday and finished off today.  I've used Aqua on Tilda's dress, which is the theme at The Pink Elephant and Just Magnolia has "Anything Goes", so it was perfect for that challenge as well.

My Sparkly purple paper is from Kaiser out of a little 6x6 paper pack, I love the 6x6 pads for my card making - and it seems like just about every paper company has one - keep 'em coming I say!!

OMGOSH

This morning while having my morning coffee, I went on my daily wander into Blog Land, first stop, was Magnolia Down Under Challenges, to see what the new challenge was....

and then, I thought my sleepy eyes were trickin' me when I saw my name up there to join in on the Design Team.... WOOHOO

So I emailed Kellie and all the while I thought "does she actually mean me?? and not some other Karen?????"  But yes!! Its true, Kellie had picked me - I still can't believe it!!

WOOHOO  It really has made my day!!!!  Completely cheered me up from the horrible (under statement) week that has been happening to one of my, and my husband's work mate.

So here are a couple of pictures of my beautiful baby girl, Ruby.  She is almost 8 months old now and is so darn cute!!  She's sitting in her Bumbo (in her pj's) - because she can't sit up by herself yet, in fact she can't "do" a lot of things, but I don't mind because she stays where I put her, when all my friends baby's who are the same age, aren't.... hehehehe!!!  So I get to enjoy a little more non-mischief time for a while!!

Ruby must be thinking - what are you doing Daddy !!! Which I think, Ruby thinks quite often... heheheheheh

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #42

Masking is this week's theme at Magnolia Down Under, I love it, it's just so much fun!!  Anyway I had so much fun with last weeks challenge where we had to just use black and white to colour our Tilda, and at the time I thought it would be great fun to do Tilda in sepia colours,  but add a little colour to it  (like they used to do to the black and white photo's back in the 50's.....?? or earlier)  I'm so loving the vintage thing at the moment and OMGosh the papers that I have stashed away are just so great!!  I bought them, I reckon about 6 years ago when I first started to Scrapbook, and at the time I was scrapping our Travels - and everything for that theme was vintage!  Don't know why it was like that, and I thought it was just soooooooooo boring!!  So I dragged out some pretty paper which I thought was just perfect and went from there, and I just sent a little tut on how to make the paper rose, by my friend, so I had to try it out!!.  Hope you like it!!
Paper: Stampin' Up Kraft and Brown, K&Company Life's Journey (can you believe I still know the name?) and Kaiser Lilac Avenue.
Embellishments: Tickled Pink Stamps Leaves, Making Memories Brads, and I made paper Rose!!
Stamps: Magnolia Love News Tilda and Postbag with Love Letters - Raising the Ceiling Collection 2010, and Stampin' Up.
Colours: Water coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen, Old Paper, Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord.

Anya Ink #2 Pink & Sparkly

This morning I have been a bit busy changing my blog - thanx to Mandy so showing me how (no more boring pink)  Anyway I hope you like my new look!!  I'm still figuring out the header so hopefully that will be up soon too, and then it will all match - yay

This fortnight's challenge is pink and sparkly over at Anya Ink.  I've had so much (messy) fun with this one, I've smothered my card in glitter - as well as myself hehehe - and it looks so pretty!! (me too hehehe) I think  the camera needs a glitter function on it, because my photo's just don't show how sparkly it actually is :-(

So my card is kinda like a Gate fold but not - I've used heaps of glitter on the white edges and on the Flower in Dahlia's hair, also put a bit of crystal effects in the middle of the flower - but the picture doesn't show:-(  I've also used my brand spankin' new Martha Stewart Doily Punch - which the postie gave to me this morning - yay!!

So this is my card un-folded. You can see the colours better in this one, and my butterfly looks just about right with the glitter around the outside and the bling in the middle of it.
Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush Patterned Paper, Stampin' Up Kraft & Whisper White
Embellishments: Stampin' Up: Ribbon, Crystal Effects & Dazzling Diamonds. Kaiser Bling, Doodlebug Sugar Coating (pink), Kindy Glitz, Cutting Cafe Digi - Sweet, White Gel Pen
Punches: Martha Stewart Doily Punch, Stampin' Up Butterfly Punch
Stamps: The Greeting Farm - Dahlia
Colour: Water Coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Bizzy Bec Challenge 9

Hi Everyone
Well this card has taken a couple of days to make - simply because my mojo seems to have a go slow at the moment - arrgh

Anyway this months challenge has wings and flowers!!  Lovely!!  So I dragged out my pretty tilda with the butterfly wings and then did a three colour blend on the wings - which is probably why it took so long, seen so the first attempt was absolutly shocking - oh well...... on another note, Bec is looking for a Design Team Member and if you would like to pick me - I would be so very happy too:-)

Paper: Prima, Ocotber Afternoon and Stampin' Up Kraft
Embellishments: Tickled Pink Stamps Lace & Flowers & Leaves, Ribbon (love my black gingham) Kaiser Bling, Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds (on the wings) Kindy Glitz on the Martha Stewart (punch) butterflies, Birch Pin with Stampin' Up Crystal Bead, and a Making Memories Heart Brad - phew
Colour: Water coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #41 & Copics

Well this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges, was Olden Days - use Black, White and Grey colours only to colour your image and then use Colourful Vintage Papers.  So I just used my Black Soot Distress Ink and boy did it take me forever to colour this little girl on the grand piano!!  But I must say I'm pretty pleased with it all, except I don't have the shading right, as in where the light source is coming from!! Just learnt about that from a tut that Fran sent to me....  anyway I guess I'll just have to practice a bit more with that!! Also used one of the fantastic crochet flowers that my friend Mandy made especially for me!!   So here is my card:-)

Paper: SU Cardstock, Prima, Designer Paper g.c.d studios
Embellishments: Bizzy Bec's Roses, Button, Bamboo Wool, Tickled Pink Stamps Lace, Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, Handmade Crochet Flower by Mandy (my bestie)
Stamps: Magnolia Raising the Ceiling Collection: Noble Tilda and Grand Piano, Stampin' Up
Colour: Water coloured with Black Soot Distress Ink, Walnut Stain around the edges!!

Last week, Leigh, Ruby and I went on a little holiday down to Hobart.  We had a great time! It was our first family holiday together....  I really liked checking out some of the Local Scrapbooking shops down there (there is 3 - wowzers) and in one of them I found some Copics, I was so excited because it was the first time that I had actually seen them in real life!!  So anyway I bought some - RV10, RV13, what I thought was RV11 but is actually R11 and a blender pen.  I guess I got a bit bamboozled by it all and picked up the wrong one!!  So anyways I couldn't figure out why at first the colours were not blending like they do in all the tut's but then D'Oh..... I looked again at the pens and found that one was a different colour to the others...  Fran helped me out with a couple of other tut's about using just 2 colours which was brillant THANKS FRAN!! and thanks too for telling me about the Mad 4 Markers online shop - although Leigh thinks otherwise hehehe...  So this is what I have achieved so far - think I need a bit more practice.  They are alot harder to use than I thought, so you girls out there that use them are fantastic!!
