Translucence from Crafts and Me

Hi there Everyone!!

As you may be aware Crafts and Me just released a whole bunch of new Images... like they do on every 1st of the month - but I must say that I actually really really love these ones just that little bit MORE this month!!

My first one to show you is called Translucence and she is designed by Sara Burrier.  I just love this image so much, so magical and floaty and the birds added in just seem to add more and more to this stunner.

Anyway I have tried to colour her in softer colours, using the E01 and E02 as my pale pink, I tried also to get some white happening but I think I was a little heavy handed with my C's in a couple of places LOL... Anyway here is my Translucence hope you love her as much as me:-)

I've also added a chippy butterfly to my card which I painted with some Crackle Paint, and I also sprayed my whole image with some Glimmer Mist.  There is a bunch of Glimmer Mists available in the store right now.

Don't forget that there is a brand new challenge just started over here, make sure you add your entries you just might be this week's winner!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Well not quite, but it will be SOON!!!

This week we are having another go at the Merry Christmas theme at Tilda's Town - yep with all the gorgeous brand new Magnolia's out and about - how can we resist?

And if you haven't got your hands on the new Story Christmas stamps - wait for it - there is now the Naivety  ones just released from Sweden OMGOSH.....  I know I know.... talk about credit card pressure huh?

Anyway I didn't actually receive my new Christmas Story Stamps until Yesterday :-( so I had to use an old stamp from last year.... well actually it was still new and un-inked!  (but we won't tell anyone that now will we LOL)

So I have used Cross Stitch Tilda, and the present for her to sit on, I've gone with traditional colours, red and green and tried to make it a little antique looking with a touch of the distress inks!!  So here you go, hope you love her!!

So make sure you get your entry's in, and if you haven't already heard there is a Design Team Call happening too!!  Being on Tilda's Town is great - such a friendly team.  So who knows you just might get picked to join.  For me however, I won't be re-applying but I am sure SOMEONE will be so excited to have my spot!!

Butterflies & Bee's

Hi there

It's time for a new Paper Play challenge, and this week's gorgeous theme is Butterflies and Bee's... or I guess things with wings? LOL

For my card I have dug out an oldie Maggie - way back from the Chasing Butterflies collection, she is one of the very first magnolia Stamps I bought, so I thought it would be good to ink her up again:-)  So here she is!!

I have tried to so some feathering colouring but it didn't really work so great, but oh well... she still looks pretty good to me:-) Actually I was surprised at how my card turned out, I was again, so unsure about it, and it almost ended up in the bin:-(

I seem to have lost my motivation to get my cards done, it seems like they are taking FOREVER and ending up looking rather crap... or not how they were meant to be.  *Sigh* I guess we all get like that at time don't we.  I don't know how to pull my self up out of my "hole" right now, but I do know it wont be long and i will be back crafting away like there's no tomorrow!!

So thanks for looking and taking the time to read....

Stamp: Magnolia - Chasing Butterflies Tilda as Butterfly
Paper: Prima
Embellishments: Paper Doily, Lace, Charm, Flower, Metal Corners, Perfect Pearls Mist, Liquid Pearls, Gelly Roll Pen, Collections Element words, Tim Holtz Papillon Stamp set, Paint
