White on White La La Land for Christmas Eve Eve!!

Ok so it's not a Christmas card, but how stinkin' cute is Marci with Guitar???

It's Inspirational Friday at La La Land, and this week we are going a little bit white, well actually white on white, no added colours except for your image, how FUN... well I did have an awesome time making this one:-)

I've cut my base circles with my Cricut, then I used my newly acquired Spellbinder Grand Calibur to cut out my Marianne D die and then I embossed it!! (It never really worked for me before in my big shot) then I have cut another circle from a nestie, and embossed it with a cuttlebug die, this I used my big shot for, because, I wasn't sure on how to layer up my sandwich for the cuttlebug folders... anyway doesn't matter I can use my Big Shot for that stuff.  So here is stinkin' cutie patootie, Marci with Guitar, I hope you love her as much as me:-)

Ooooo now before I forget, I do have a ripper of a tip for you all.  See that awesome butterfly die - Marianne D one... well I don't use it very often because I guess it's real shitty trying to get those bits of paper out of the die.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ANYWAY I read somewhere, and I can't remember WHERE now... sorry.... but if you use some baking paper between the die and the paper you actually want cut out, then your in for a much easier cutting situation!! BUT I did have to roll my die through 2 times, for it to cut all the way through, the baking paper and the card stock.  So I hope you find this little bit of a hint rather handy.... I know I sure did!!!

Ok so back to the card, I've glittered up my fancy butterfly, stuck on some half pearls and whacked on some pretty white flowers, bling and stickles!!!!! The flower right at the very top, is a Kaiser Craft Resin flower, they are only new out.  I've used it to hide my brad, which I have used to attach the back circle:-)

Anyway, I know you guys will have heaps of fun making some White on White cards over Christmas:-) Make sure you add all what you make with your La La Land Crafts into the customer Gallery - you could be this months winner:-)

Crafts and Me Morning Glories

Hi Hi Everyone!! Well not long to go now, and Christmas will be done and dusted for another year! Can you believe it?  GOSH

Anyway, this week at Crafts and Me, I am showing off a cool Digi stamp called Morning Glories and it's by Sara Burrier.  This image has been around for a while, but this is my first time in using her.  I love this stamp, I think it's really beautiful, so here she is, I hope you love her as much as me:-)

I have coloured her in some YR copic's to give her a kinda golden dress.  I have coloured her wings in the gorgeous Atyou Spica pen in buttermilk, and then used the gold pen to darken up some of the bits on her wings, they really do shimmer and sparkle in real life!!

The flowers I coloured with my favourite R copic's - yep 81, 83, 85 and just a touch of 89.  My paper is from Kaiser Craft, and the pretty butterfly is from Prima.  The flowers are Kaiser Craft and Wild Orchid Crafts, along with the pink seam binding.,and the Lace I think is also from Prima.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today to see my work:-)

Hi Hi Everyone....

It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under, and this is our last challenge for the year.  We are going to have a little break, and we will be all back on the 8th January with an awesome new challenge for you to play along with!!!

Anyway this week or should I say fortnight, our wonderful theme is: RED GOLD AND CREAM.... mmmmmm what a yummy Christmas colour combination!!! You have heaps of time to get your entries in and just remember your card doesn't have to be Christmas theme!!!!

I've used sweet Holly Tilda for my card today, I've made a circle base using my Cricut and then I have made a slightly smaller circle with the Maggie Christmas paper also with the Cricut:-) I've coloured Tilda in Bright red and instead of having green holly I've coloured mine with Atyou Spica Pen in Buttermilk.  It's a slightly softer gold, and you can still see the lines of the holly through it, so here she is, I hope you love her as much as me:-)

Please don't forget to go and check out the gorgeous work that the rest of the girls have made this week for you.... I know you're going to love it!!!  Also don't forget you have longer to enter in to this challenge, and like always, we can't wait to see what you all make!!!!

But here she is, Christmas Miracle, I hope you love her as much as me:-)

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Christmas gorgeousness you have created this week, so please make sure you add them to our Challenge blog HERE!!

Beautiful Bright Eyes!!! A Scrap Lay Out

Hi Everyone, Happy Thursday to you all.  Today I wanted to show you my latest Scrap LO that I did last night.  It's been a while since I've had a chance to do some Scrappin', but at the moment I have some time to have a play, as I have finished all of my Design Team Card making duties until early next year!!! WHOOOHOOO for me:-)

So my pic of Ruby is another oldie, a friend of mine took a bunch of gorgeous photo's of Ruby when she was 9 months old.  This is also the time, (like a week before) we found out she had to have super strong glasses... and that she was close to having her brain switch off one eye - in other words she was going blind in her left eye (SPOOKY)  so these photo's are kinda special to me, because she will always have to wear glasses or contacts, and with these photo's I get to remember life before, before we knew about any of Ruby's development delays, before everything changed and life became just a wee bit hard this past year... But here she is, her Beautiful and Bright blue eyes....

Now I can say, that we are finally coming out of the other side, Ruby has overcome some many hurdles this year, it's really amazing to see how much she has grown and changed and developed.... We've just had another couple of hurdle's placed in front of us, but we are hoping that we will fly right over it....

Kaiser Craft Papers, Tim Holtz Weathered Clock, Prima Lace, Say it in Pearls, Bird and Flower. Thickers, Authentic Word Stickers, Kaiser Die Cut, Journal Tag, Stampin Up Antique Brad, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Punch

I have coloured her in my RV copic's as I wanted her to be in a slightly softer pink than what the R's give you.  Her wings are covered in Atyou Spica in Clear - gosh I love those pens!! and the raised parts of the wings is Liquid Pearls.  My paper is by Jillibean Soup, and I've used some Kaiser Craft flowers along with some Wild Orchid Crafts ones.  My sentiment is from SU.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #125

The First Noel, the Angels did say
was to certain poor shepherds in the fields where they lay
In the fields where they lay are keeping their sheep
on a cold winters night that was so deep
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel....
Born is the King of Israel

So we all know this Christmas Carol right? well actually it's one of my favourites, along with Silent Night.... but anyway... I'm here to tell you about the newest Challenge over at Magnolia Down Under - it's make a Christmas Ornament.  So basically no cards!!! EECK

So for my Ornament, I used the word NOEL.  I bought the letters at my local scrap shop along with some Dusty Attic snowflakes, matching ribbons and flowers.

I've used 4 sweet Christmas Dreams Maggies and well here you go, I hope you love it as much as what I do....

I'm so pleased actually with how it turned out in the end, after a couple of little mishaps - like painting the wrong side of the letter N.  There is just no way it was going to work!!! No matter how many times I flipped and turned it. LOL.. Here is a closer look, the N has Edwin on Christmas Eve.  Isn't he so Cute?

Next of course is the O.  I thought Halo Tilda would look awesome on this one, so I have used here.  I'm really pleased with how her dress turned out with the sort of pleats/folds happening. and I used my new favourite green combination too!!

Next is E.  E has beautiful Tilda with the long flowing hair - Tilda with a Gift.  Doesn't she look cute, sitting on the bar of the E.  Her wings have heaps and heaps of Stickles on them too. Sorry my Picture doesn't do them justice...

On the L I have used Snow heart Tilda.  I think she is my favourite (this week anyway) from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection.  I love the snowflakes I picked up from Dusty Attic they are really awesome. I dabbed them all with my Snow Cap Paint Dabber from Ranger.

Well that's it!!! Heaps of Pic's to show you today, I hope you have enjoyed my Ornament, and we all of course at the Design Team look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.  Have you seen all what the Design Team have made?  I know there is heaps of inspirational gorgeousness for you to lay your eyes on!!

Stamps: Magnolia - Sweet Christmas Dreams - Edwin on Christmas Eve, Snow Heart Tilda, Halo Tilda and Tilda with a Gift.

Dusty Attic Chipboard Snowflakes, Kaiser Craft Flowers, Prima Flowers and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers. Ranger Snow Cap Paint, Half Pearls, Stickles, Ribbons and Trim, Jones Tones Puffy Paint.
Coloured with Copics
