Going Green Baby - Re-use/Recycle

Hi There Everyone!!

Well this week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge, we have decided to be kind to our much beloved planet and re-used/recycled....

I have had my 6 x 6 Magnolia Papers shoved into an old Ice-cream container... and it was just sitting on the shelf in my craft Pantry.... So what could be more fitting for the Re-use - recycle theme?

My Cute Tilda is of course Tilda in a Cotton Dress.  I coloured her Purple (OMG Purple - I never use purple) because my ice cream tub is purple... (You can scroll down below to see the before shot) Anyway I just covered it over with some pretty Maggie paper, pom pom trim and some lace. I even used the branding off my big 12 x 12 Magnolia Paper to make a flag!

I made my center label/image rather big so that it didn't really need much else... So here it is, I hope you love it, and much as me... and it looks so much prettier in it's second life than it's first I think!

So this is the before pic.... looks rather ugly just sitting on the shelf like that doesn't it..... I must say the Ice-cream was pretty yummy in case you were wondering ;-p

So thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!!
Till next time, Happy Stamping/Crafting!!

Birds or Butterflies?

Hi There!!

Its Inspirational Friday at La La Land Crafts and this week's theme is a choice! Yep you get to decide between either, Birds or Butterflies!

I chose Butterflies.  I have some yummy Graphic 45 paper from the Birdsong collection and I just love the tiny little butterflies on it.  The other papers I have used, is by Kaiser Craft, its from the Lush 6 x 6 paper pad that I have had for a while now:-)

My Marci, is called: Kimono Marci with Fan.... she is a brand new image just released last week! and I have also used one of the brand new dies as well - the Bridge.  I cut it out in Vellum because I didn't want it to be dominate on my card.  Doing it in Vellum makes it subtle. Well I think so anyway! So here is my card I hope you love it as much as me:-)

Here are my Copic colours that I used:

Skin: E0000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: BV29, BV25, BV23, 0
Kimono: BV29, BV25, BV23, C2, C1, C0, B39, B37, B34, B32. Gelly Roll - Clear Star and White. Atyou Spica in Clear

Thanks for stopping By!!!

La La Land Crafts NEW RELEASE SHOWCASE

Hold on to your Hats!!

Its time for a NEW Release at La La Land Crafts!!

Ooooo So much fun, as you may have already seen, team Monday did some gorgeous work with the newbies earlier in the week, but now it's team Friday's turn...

So I was lucky to get to play with - Country Side Shadow Box, and Marci with Umbrella.... I had so much fun building my shadow box, they really are very easy to put together, you just need to have a think about how you want to decorate it first of all, and decorate the pieces before you glue them together!! My paper is Farm Girl from October Afternoon and I thought, perfect for my box! The Box also comes with a few decorating bits, a fence, a tree, some banners, Milk Can, and a Wagon Wheel - SO COOL!!

Now can you see some of the new dies I have used????? there's Cats Tails and Stitched Tabs which I have made into a banner, there is 3 different types that you get, so I have used 2 types... the other is behind my ticket on the side, where I have used 2 to make a background label!  I painted my Milk Can with Viva Metals Colour in Silver, so its shiny like a real milk can!

Below is a side view, so you can see how deep the box is, you can fit a lot of fat stuff in like flowers!

So what's next?

SAIL BOAT LUKA, he looks so cute, playing with his wee boat!!  I've made it to look like he is at the beach, by giving him a little sand and blue sky in the background. I have also used some new dies on this one as well as some old... the new ones are: Stitched Scallop Boarder, Stitched Tabs. I did want to put on the cats tails as well, but there just wasn't room!!  The old ones are the Cloud and the Wave Boarder!

So there you go!! Pretty Cool stuff huh? You can get your fix on the new goodies at either La La Land Crafts online store, or if your in Australia from your local Stockist for the Dies, and 3D Altered Items....

Kraft, White and Pink

Hi There Everyone!!

Well turns out that I forgot to do my post on my blog for Inspirational Friday at La La Land Crafts.... Dear o Dear....

Anyway, the theme was Kraft, White and 1 other colour, I chose pink!  I've coloured my Ballerina Marci with Prisma Coloured Pencils on Kraft Card.... I'm rather happy on how it turned out for someone who rarely uses her pencils!!  So here she is I hope you love her as much as me!!

 Medium: Prisma Coloured Pencils
Terre De Sienne, Pink, Magenta, Blanc, Beige, Rose Farde,
Beige Mastic, French Grey 70%, Burnt Ombre Fonce, Peach

Before I go I wanted to show you my Distress Marker Holder Stand, which of course is by La La Land Crafts!!  I love how it turned out!!  It really wasn't that hard to put together, but I should have painted it all before I decided to glue it together.... but then painting it was a little bit of an after thought... Anyway I painted it with Viva Metal Colours in Gold.  I left the corners and the embellishments plain... I really love how pretty it looks sitting on my shelf at my desk!!

So that's it from me for now!!
