It's Time to Play with Paper Play!!!

Hi there everyone, today I have another simple little card that I made for Paper Play's new challenge.

The Challenge is White plus 1 other colour, and our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe!!!

So of course I picked pink for my plus 1, I have also used a cute little s.w.a.l.k stamp called time out.  I think we all need to remember this sometimes, especially when life gets that little bit tough...

So I though this would be good for a friend who is having a little bit of a hard time at the moment.  So I hope that she likes it:-)

I'm really looking forward to see what colours you decide to use, and what awesome cards/layouts or creations you come up with....

Stamps: S.W.A.L.K "Time Out"
Paper: Whisper White Card
Embellishments: SU Ribbon, Prima Flower, Embossing Folder, Spun Sugar Distress Ink, Stickles, Maya Road Heart Pins and Wild Orchid Crafts Fancy Corners.
Colour: Spun Sugar Distress Ink, and Pebbles Pearlescent chalks

Sentimental Sunday's

Hi Everyone,

This week at Sentimental Sunday's we would like you to: Step out of your Comfort Zone..... so for me this week I've had another go (battle) with Prisma Colour Pencils and the Gamsol Technique, to make my little card.  It actually worked out a bit better for me this time around, I got some canson paper at an art shop the other day, and it has a bit more grit to it, if you get what I mean, anyway it allowed me to lay down more colour, but I think in the end may have been a little tooo much!!!  But I guess the out come isn't toooo bad.

I've used a very cute Lili of the Valley Stamp - and again another for my Special Day Sentiment.  Sorry my pic looks a little warped... I was trying to fix the distortion on Photo shop (another new thing - fixing distortions) but it some how ended up like this.... I think actually, it looks rather cool!!!! LOL

I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with this week:-)

Stamps: Lili of the Valley, Little Girl and Sentiment
Paper: My Minds Eye - Lime Twist
Embellishments: Pom Pom Trim, Pink Ribbon, Bling and Stickles
Colour: Prisma Colour Pencils & Odourless Mineral Solvent

And is what the very middle looks like.  I haven't really decided on what to do here, so at the moment it's pretty plain.  I guess it needs a message spot, but I don't wanna cover up the gorgeous paper, so... hence why it's still empty!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your gorgeous folded cards this week, and I hope the rest of the Design Team have really inspired you, to try out maybe something new, or create a card that you love:-)

Play Time is Such Hard Work!!!

*** Please scroll down to see if YOU are my CANDY WINNER***

Hi Everyone, the other day Kellie had on her blog a scrap page that she had done using a super cool sketch from Sketchy Thursday's - which is a scrapbooking challenge.  Anyway I decided to have a go at it myself and this is what I came up with:

The sketch is at the bottom, but I'm so happy with how this double layout worked out:-) Ruby was about 4 months old in these pic's!! Pity the sound doesn't work with the pictures, because I clearly remember her squealing her little head off along with giggling so much it soon wore her out.... as you can see.... start off with play time.... and then she was super excited, and then Oh that's so much hard work, I'll think I'll have a rest now!!!! So cute:-)  Here is a close up of the first page:

and then the second page, what do you think of my flowers?? I used a die from My Favourite Things... I know the sketch doesn't have flowers on it, but I had only 4 pic's and I wanted to use them all.... besides a sketch is what you make it right??? LOL

It was a great way to use up some of those thousand off cuts I seem to have, anyway I can't remember the names of all the papers, but I think there's some Basic Grey, Pink Paislee, Prima, Daisy D's and I don't know what else!!! Here is the super sketch I used, and I'm also entering in their challenge this week:-)

Thanks for looking at another one of my scrapbooking creations:-)

She Walks another Scrapbook page!!!

**** Please enter my candy - not long to go now - click on the pic on the top of my side bar to enter***

Last night I did another page for Ruby's album.  I can't believe it's almost full... well there is about 5 more layouts to go, and then, I guess I better get some post expander's and some more album pages so I can keep going!!  I'm loving scrapping at the moment.  And I have found that it's so much quicker than making a card!!! hahahah which is funny, because I started card making because I thought it was easier than scrapbooking.... well I guess I'm not colouring any images because I have photo's!!!!! re: conversation I had with Kellie yesterday about scrapping!!!

Anyway this page is about Ruby walking.  Yep she finally found her feet!!!  I was hoping she would start walking before she turned 2, and she did!!! well about 3 weeks before hand....

For my page I've used some Basic Grey Paper, that I seem to have stacks and stacks off... eeck, and some white card.  The big SHE is by Prima - very cool, and the WALKS are chippy that again I've had tucked away for like ever... it's by Basic Grey too.  The chippy bird is from Stampin' Up the big brads are Kasier Craft and the rub-ons are also from Kasier Crafts.  The Bingo Stamp is by Unity.

Kellie told me about a scrapbook sketch challenge...  although this one doesn't fit, I might have a go at that over the weekend.  Don't worry I still have some cards coming up, MDUC on Sunday and also Sentimental Sunday's..... so I haven't turned completely back into a scrapper (yet!!!!)

Thanks for looking:-)

Just a Few of My Favourite Things!!!

*** Please enter my candy by clicking on the photo on the top of my side bar***

Howdy Everyone...

Today I was reading Kellie's blog about her favourite things, and I thought I would share some of mine with you too!!

First up here is a look at some of recent acquirement's (well for this week!!) hahahah my local scrap booking shop - Bev's Cross Crafts in Devonport is celebrating their 20th birthday - and they also had 20% off store wide - so there was me - SALE SALE SALE - oh JOY!!!! Anyway I had a blast and picked up a few new things...

So the new papers are from Prima - I love Prima Papers, they are so lush and gorgeous and so many different styles.  This one is called Romantic... and yep it really is - I'm in love with it already!!

Next up is what I got in the mail.... its from Whiff of Joy and its Button Twine.  I love this string, it doesn't have all those frayie bits on it, like other string (Stampin' Up stuff in particular) and it's also a lot finer so it goes through all buttons no problemo!!!! (grrrr the pic is terrible.... but it's lovely string!!)

So these little beauties are brand new this month from Kaiser Craft.  I love Kaiser Craft beyond the page MDF stuff - it's just Way to cool!!!! Anyway I already have a desk caddy, and a 9 drawer caddy (which is just brilliant for my Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  It fits all of the colours in it) and a Ribbon Holder.

These ones I'm not to sure what I'm going to use them for - but no doubt something cool!! I think I might wait a while before I transform them.  So that they will match in with my craft room.  Oh Yes I'm getting a Craft room.  Our house plans are now officially completed (after a few hiccups - grrr) so hopefully things will now start to move along in that direction!!!! Oh now back to the caddy's here they are:

So there you go, just a few of my fav's - well products really!! Why not join in too, I would love to see what your favourites things are too:-)
