Little Mermaid

Hey

Today I have another layout to show you all.  This is a pic of our trip to Disney Land a couple of years ago... (doesn't seem that long ago - but it was 2015!)

At the time and still, Mermaid's are of of Ruby's favourite things! So imagine if you can how excited she was when The Little Mermaid came around in the Disney parade!!

I'm still having a great time with my Lindy's Stamp Gang, Starbursts and Magicals and Moon shadows. I was so happy when my package came in the mail last week! Anyway, so I've used those and I also have some transparent texture paste which is important (so I found out thanks to the lovely ladies at Lindy's Creative Gang on Facebook) to stop the paper curling and warping heaps, and yep it worked great :-)

I've used a bucket load of stuff to create this page so here is the list:

Ranger Texture Paste - transparent
Chromacryl Texture Paste - white
Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint - Black
Gansai Tambi - water colour paints - Starry Colours

Art - because I said so!

 Hey There...

Today I have another scrapbook layout, but this one is a little different. I totally ventured into Mixed Media for this one... and it is a little bit messy but its Art.... why? because I said it was LOL

This photo is of our new kitten, Bonnie. She is a British Short hair and she is completely Blue! We love her, she is just so cute, funny and unlike any other cat I've ever had! She is also just a wee bit naughty too!

So I really don't know what I am doing with Mixed Media Art, but I am learning and making a bunch of mistakes at the same time. Its all good though and heaps of fun!

I thought I would be brave and enter my layout into a couple of challenges. The first one is
Mixed Media Place. and this is the mood board for my inspiration.

So I guess my inspiration came from the blue water, the soft grey, white shoes with the cut outs and dark blue, with a little green and pink sprinkled. to find out more about the Mixed Media Place challenge click on the link!

The next challenge I want to enter is Lindy's Stamp Gang April colour challenge - lucky me but these two challenges seem to work together!!  This is Lindy's Stamp Gang colour challenge and you can find all the information about it by clicking on the links!

I don't have a lot of pink or green in my layout but the other colours are there:-) To follow the rules of the challenge here are some links to the Lindy's Stamp Gang store with some of the products I used to create my work.

Wow... that's a lot of blue, and pretty much the only colour I have in sprays lol except for a couple of pinks and a purple. I do have all the new magical shakers though.... so pretty!

Here is a list of the others bits and bobs I used to create my page:

Finnabair Art Basics - Modeling Paste in Opaque Matt
Finnabair Art Ingredients Micro beads - Black
Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Indian Gold
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Navy Blue
Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint - Night
Dina Wakley Media Stencil - Big Leafy
Dylusions Ink Spray - White Linen
Cosmic Shimmer - Diamond Frost
Blue Fern Studios Chipboard - Diamonds
Scrapmatts chipboard - cat and title
Cotton 3 ply thread
Flowers are Prima, Kasier, I am Roses
Prima metal frame
Gems from broken jewellery

Thanks for taking the time to check out my work :-)

Cup Day

Hey There

Today I have a pic of me.... I know that never happens, but I actually do like this selfie... even more so because I got it printed in Black and White!!

I have a couple of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays... not many as in maybe 8 lol (that is about to change when the postman brings them to me) so for this layout, I have used a Lindy's MoonShadow in Phantom Fuchsia and a little Lindy's Magical Shaker in Oom Pah Pah Pink. I love how it came out, so sparkly and shimmery.

My papers are Kaiser Craft - PS I love You Collection. I have also used a few Kaiser Die Cuts also from PS I love You collection. The flowers are a bit of a mix of Prima, Kaiser and Club Green. I sprayed the Kaiser and Club Green with my Lindy's Moonshadow in Phantom Fuchsia, so that they would match in with the spraying I did on my base paper. Gotta say, they looks so cool! My vine is a die from Sue Wilson. The butterfly is by Prima and I added a little Cosmic Shimmer Gilding Polish in Silver Hessian which has a slight pink tinge to it. The charm I picked up yonks ago at the Stamp Bug store in Somerset. I tried to tie a double bow with my seam binding... I did it so well it actually is a triple bow!! I also added a tiny bit of Distress Ink Walnut Stain to my edges of the die cuts and my photo. That also matches in with the Moonshadow spray which is brown but has the shimmer from the mica which is the Phantom Fuchsia! Hope you love it all as much as me:-)

Be a Flamingo

Today I have a little Mixed Media canvas to show you.  I found this at Spotlight in the fabulous finds for $5... bargain!

So I decided to use a couple of Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical shakers on it, they are the Oom pah pah pink, Cuckoo Clock Cardinal, and a tiny bit of Oktoberfest Orange.

My little canvas is meant to be water resist on the "Be a Flamingo in a flock of Pigeons" but it didn't really work so well with the magicals. I'm pretty sure the colour leaked underneath the water resist.  So you could see it, but it wasn't how it was meant to be. So to fix it and make it better I decided to emboss with some WOW pearl gold embossing powder. I got the powder to stick by using my Versa Marker watermark pen it worked a treat. I just had to be careful when I used it so I got a good definition on the letters.

So my photo isn't that great, it is a dull day here in Tassie today, but my canvas really is rather pretty with its bit of shimmer. Hope you like it, as much as me.

Another Easter Card

So I actually made 2 Easter Cards, and this one is for Ruby's Teacher's Aide.

Again this one is using Pion images from the past, Easter Greetings! I love these sheets that have so many cute little images on them. I think last year I used a different sheet that had bunny's on it. That was super cute too! But because I have only just started blogging again, I don't have pictures of everything I have made over the past 12 months or so.

Anyway this is kinda  newish style for me, kinda more traditional I guess. I definitely made those flowers, which is also a new skill I guess. Loads of fun, but kinda fiddly getting the center bud done. I love this Heartfelt Creations Die, Vintage Floret. I have a few others, but I think this one is my favourite.

So there isn't that much different on this card, other than I used Pion's 6x6 Easter Cherry Blossom paper... actually I think I used a square of this on the other Easter card too.... LOL anyway I really like the little gingham pattern, and I wanted the cards to be very similar but different. Anyway here is a list of what I used to create this card.  Pion Images from the past - Easter Greetings. Pion by the Cherry Tree, Pion pink 1 and Pion green 1. American Crafts Silver glitter card stock. Magnolia die, my new Magnolia personalised stamp, Memory Box die, Sue Wilson Fern trio die, Linen Tread, Cosmic Shimmer Gilding paste in Pearl Luster. Copic's and Gelly roll pen in Clear Star.

Easter Card

Hi There!

Today I thought I would share a couple of Easter cards that I have made for Ruby's teachers. This first one has a cute image from Pion papers - Images from the Past. I do love these sweet images and have used them for all sorts of cards, like Christmas, Wedding's and Baptisms! very versatile. Anyway I love how sweet this one turned out, and I hope you all like it too:-)

And I also ordered my very own personalised stamp from Magnolia!!  It arrived in plenty of time for me to use it on the back of my cards, so I was pretty happy about that. I love this particular stamp, there are bunch to choose from! It was kinda fiddly to colour with my Copic's as its tiny and I haven't coloured for ages either, but it did turn out ok!

Here is a list of what I used to create this card. Pion Images from the Past Easter Greetings, Pion By the Cherry Tree, Pion Pink 1 and Pion Green 1. American Crafts Silver Glitter card stock. Magnolia Die, Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Die, Comic Shimmer Gilding Paste in Pearl Luster, Sue Wilson Fern die, Memory Box Die, Linen Thread, Copics, and Gelly Roll in clear star.

You & Me

Its another rainy day here in Devonport, so I decided to scrap another pic from Cup Day from earlier in January.

Here is me and my friend, Rebecca, in the, Peppermint Parties, very pretty marquee! It was an awesome day,  and so much fun!

My papers are Prima Rossibelle Collection, along with matching Prima Rossibelle flowers and the little buds are from Club Green. My Rose gold foil card is from Bazzill. The die I used for the leaves is called Olive Branch from Sue Wilson. I've also used a few peacock feathers and an Imaginarium Chippy feather. The title is also chippy, but I can't remember the maker. I've also used some Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish in Silver Hessian and Pearl Lustre. The lace was given to me in a Christmas secret Santa! The clock is Prima too.

A Perfect Day

It's a rainy day today, so a perfect day to scrap another perfect day!

This pic was taken in January at the Devonport Cup. I was in the Peppermint Parties marquee with these lovely and gorgeous ladies. It really was a perfect day, so much fun!

For my layout I have used some Kaiser craft PS I love you papers, and a couple of matching die cuts also from Kaiser Craft. I've also used some Prima goodies as in the Dress Form, the leaf spray and the smaller flowers. The big flower is Green Tara. The metal embellishments - the bird I think is Prima but I've had it for yonks so I don't really remember... the other is a charm that I chopped in half. I've inked around my paper with Distress Ink - Antique Linen and then I have used a little Comic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish in Silver Hessian around the edges too. Looks really pretty. I've added a little Tulle to my dress form along with some thin linen thread. I've also used a Memory Box die to add a little to the flowers in the top corner. The sparkle charm is a bit of broken jewellery!

A Mini Canvas

It's been almost 12 months since my last post.... thought I might give blogging another crack!

I've been having a bit of a play around with some mixed media stuff... so this is a 6x6 mini canvas that I have painted up this week!

So I did have a bit of trouble trying to stamp onto my canvas, because the canvas is textured and the image is solid, but I did manage to stamp the majority of the fairy I just had to fill in the gaps!! Thank goodness for Copic Multi liners!

My title was going to be Fairy Wishes... I used a Tim Holtz die for the wishes and stamped fairy onto some black card and then foiled it in rose gold.... but the "wishes" it was pretty much invisible on the canvas, so I went for the black card and embossed it instead!

I've used a variety of craft goodies such as: Gesso, Finnabair Modeling Paste and Finnabair Acrylic Paint in Pink Blush, which I mixed together. The Stencil is Tim Holtz Bricked. Around the outside of my canvas I've used Finnabair Acrylic Paint in Wild Fuchsia I've also used Finnabair Glass beads in Plum and Finnabair Art Sugar in Black. Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals colours are Hottie Patottie Hot Pink and Dark Chocolate Truffle, Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in Gold, Nuvo Mousse Indian Gold. My images are Lavinia Stamps. My title is using Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps and WOW Embossing Powder Pearl God Sparkle, just on to some black Bazzil card stock.
