Doo BEE Pops!!

Good Morning

It's Sunday and time for a new Magnolia Down Under Challenge.... and this week... we have our brand new and wonderful sponsor....

YEP!! Its so exciting, and we are all just so happy to have Magnolia as one of our regular sponsors!!

This week's theme is an Easter Greeting, so I have had a play with some Doo Bee Pops that was given to me by Sandra at The Crafty Witch.... I must say that they are interesting, and it did take me a little bit to figure out how to get the ball... well egg... first attempt ended up as a ball (LOL) still usable!! Anyway, I cut out the Doo Bee Pops with my oval spellbinder, and then I cut the oval in half longways so that I had 2 bits, then I glued the flat sides together... So here is my Easter Egg!!

And here is a closer look at my Tilda hiding Easter Eggs... love this image!!

La La Land Shadow Box

Hi Everyone!!

Its time for another turn at La La Land's Inspirational Friday! This week's wonderful theme is Alter something.... ALWAYS heaps of fun!!

Lucky for me, I received my DT kit from Irina full of gorgeous and wonderful crafty bits and bobs and one of those was this Gorgeous Carousel Horse Shadow Box!  Take a look!

It was super easy to put together, but you would need to "think" about it before actually gluing the bits in... like how are you going to decorate it? Much easier to decorate with patterned paper before you actually put all the pieces together!

So I painted mine, with some Distress Crackle Paint, and  Viva Precious Metal Colours - Mother of Pearl, Silver and Rose.  I distressed a few of the edges with some Walnut stain as it was just a wee bit toooooo white!

Below is a bit of a inside view of the box....

You can see I have used a bunch of La La Land Dies.... there is: Heart Banner, Heart Fence, Butterfly, Berry Flourish, Large Rolled Rose, Small and Medium Rolled Rose!! WOW.....

Here is a view of the other side.  My Carousel Horse is also painted with Distress Crackle Paint and Viva Metal Colours... the Silver and Rose.  I have also distressed a little with some Walnut stain.

Here is a close up of Koala Marci! I have coloured her with my copics.  My little resin bird is from Prima and I have also used some yummy Prima flowers.  My patterned paper is brand new from My Minds Eye.

Thanks for looking!!

Inspirational Easter Picture at Magnolia Down Under

Good Morning, and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

This morning we have another new challenge at Magnolia Down Under, and this week we have a gorgeous Easter Inspirational Picture for you all to take a look at.  All you need to do is pick out bits of the picture that appeal to you... like colour, shapes etc... you get the idea?

For my card I have used sweet little Tilda hiding Easter Eggs and the Chicken wire background, my little Easter sentiment is an old one from 2010... I only have the 1 LOL so it gets used a lot at Easter!

I've used some brand new products on my card this week: Graphic 45 paper - Secret Garden, Prima Wood Embellishments (Bird) I painted my Kaiser Craft wood Easter egg with some yummy gold paint and then added the normal bits and bobs! I hope you all love it as much as me:-)

Below is the Easter Inspirational Picture... for me what really caught my eye, was the purple egg in the basket, the tree branch and the eggs:-)

Getting Sketchy

Hi there Everyone

Its time for another awesome sketch at Sketchy Challenges, and this fortnight the sketch has been designed by Jane!!

For my card this week, I have used some Distress Inks.... I actually Water coloured... OMG it has been so long since I used my DI's.... and well past attempts have been shocking, and ended up in the bin! But today it actually worked out ok... well - its too good for the bin hahahaahah  I think the last time I tried to use my DI's was about 6 months ago... so I am most pleased with out it turned out!!

So there you go, I used the Peacock Feather DI for the main of the image, and tattered Rose and Antique Linen kinda mixed together for her Skin.  I used Walnut stain for her hair, and to add a little darker spots here and there, I added a touch of black soot!  The ears and Tail are in Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose.  My background is weathered wood:-) I added some Frantage to my Doo Hickey leaf die cut the colour is Shaved Ice...

Here is Jane's sketch, we hope you will come along and play:-)
Thanks for Looking!!

Special Little Lady!!

Hi Everyone

It's Inspirational Friday time at La La Land Crafts, and this week's lovely theme is Special Lady!

I have used Beret Marci, I think she is my favourite (well at the moment) and I have used some of the dies as well to create my card - they are the Hot Air Balloon, The Garden Bench and the Berry Flourish. I made my flags just with some scraps, and coloured my pearls purple all though they look a little mottly - maybe that was the effect I was after? LOL

Anyway here is my card for a Special Lady!!

These are the copic markers I used to colour:

Skin: E0000, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E57, E53, E50 and E43
Clothes: RV99, RV95, RV93, RV91
