WOOHOO 1st Design Team..... Design!!

I'm so excited!!  This is my very first card as a Design Team Member for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge!!

So the Challenge this week is Paper Tole and boy oh boy was this a bit fiddly!! It took me all afternoon just to make my pretty Tilda after thinking, thinking thinking, what will I use?  So I had my Tilda just absolutely perfect and then Disaster struck - I did something to "finish" it off and it wrecked it, so then I tried to "fix" it and well, it was then totally stuffed!!  ooooooooo fiddle sticks or something like that came from my mouth...... but then I made another and then after another little minor stuff up I got her done and she was perfect .... again!! Sometimes you should just leave things alone!!  LOL

So you should really give it a go its so much fun and I loved it even with the minor hiccups!!  So if you have a fantastic Magnolia Stamp then enter the challenge - it doesn't have to be a Tilda or Edwin, just as long as you have some type of Magnolia Stamp on your card - then your in!!  So what are you waiting for???

This pic is just so you can see the different layers of my Tilda!!  There are 3 in total

Paper: Stampin' Up Kraft, October Afternoon Thrift Shop
Embellishments: Spotlight Charm, Flower Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls. Flowers, Leaves, Lace, Paper Doily from Tickled Pink Stamps. Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds, Kaiser Bling, White Gel Pen
Stamps: Magnolia Tilda as Butterfly - Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009, The Greeting Farm Sentiment
Colour: Water Coloured with Distress Inks

Mad for Markers #2

Well... its my Wedding Anniversary today!! 6 years wow - not doing anything special except enjoying our little family:-)

So this is my first time colouring up with Copic's - far out they are FUN!!  The card is for the challenge over at Mad 4 Markers - to use shades of the one colour!!  So brilliant for me because I only have pink Copics and a couple of skin coloured ones!!!!!!

My girly is pretty funky eh?  But I must say I did run into a few little problems colouring her up - the ink soaks through the paper and because, I have like a plastic desk mat, the ink then leeched back into my paper around the outside of my stamped image.  So that was a pain - but I think I managed to fix most of it with my blender pen!!  Thank goodness for that pen otherwise it was going to be a total disaster!!

The pens I used are: Skin: E00, E11, E21 everything else: RV000, RV02, RV04, RV06, RV10, RV13, RV23 and of course my trusty Blender Pen 0

Thanks for checking out my card:-)
