Magnolia Down Under Challenge #102

Hello Magnolia Fans!!

So it's not normally my week to make a card at Magnolia Down Under, but I thought I would anyway!! This week we have another awesome theme for you:

STITCHING AND SWIRLS...

Oooooo yummo huh?  So yep I broke out the Sewing Machine and did some - not so fabby stitching around the edge of my card.  And also my card this week is a bit of a fancy shape... I bought a brand new Cricut Expression the other day, and OMGOSH it's soooooo COOL, I can now cut out stuff bigger like huge if I really want and also I love that it was 1/4 increments... and OMGOSH I can even cut stuff like really really small - It's just way tooooo cool... So here is my card, I hope you love it as much as me!! LOL

A Lovey Dovey Card

Hey Everyone

Today I have an engagement card to share... yesterday when I took Ruby to her Early Learning School, we met a new Teacher, (remember one left and they asked me to make her a card) well the new teacher, Di, loved it, and asked me to make an engagement card for her friends daughter (I think??) that has recently became engaged!!

So yep, I struck while the iron what hot!! and this is what I made, I hope she will like what I have done for her!!

I have always been a little frightened to use Blue!! Yep I'm crazy, but I have become rather fond of the B45, B41, B0000 and a bit of Blender..... It's just so soft and elegant looking to me!!

I have followed the sketch over at Whiff of Joy this fortnight!! I did follow it, except I did move the tag to the side, that's the only bit!! LOL Speaking of tags, I cut this one with my Cricut - Tie the Knot cartridge - that one has heaps of tags in it!! But I did manage to stuff up the size, on the first on - so that's where the 2 bigger doves are from!! Then I cut a smaller one.... oh dear.... It's going to take a little getting used to it, but at least now I have some instructions so that makes things a bit easier!! (my original one I got off my friend and it didn't have any instructions!!)

It's Paper Play Time

Well it's that time of the week and this week at Paper Play we want to see some Stars - no no we don't want you to hit us.... hahaha..... Oh and I forgot there is also stripes to be added too.... So it's Stars and Stripes...

For my card this week, I found some really cool Magnolia Paper - bright blue with white stars - so perfect and then I came across some red stripey paper... and when you put them together it kinda looks a bit like.... oh well you can see I'm sure!! hahahahah

I've also used a cute Teddy Bo image, and coloured him up with my copics.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out... so here it is, I hope you love it:-)

Oh and can you see the cool wavy edge to my image??  I got a new Paper Trimmer and it's pretty cool, it was 4 different cutting blades and a paper corner punch built in.... so AWESOME!!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #101

Tilda's Got a Car!!!

Hi Everyone

I'm so exicted about the brand new Magnolia Challenge... The Offical Magnolia Inspiration Challenge (TOMIC for short) starting this week:-) I love that we get to see more gorgeous work from the Design Team... and OMGOSH they do not disappoint... This week it's Pauline's birthday so Birthday cards are the order of the day!!

So I finally received my new Sweet Rainbow Collection stamps last week - and I even got my Doo Hickey's on the same day - so I was very happy about that heheheh, anyway here is my card, I've made a Gate Fold Card....

Sorry my pictures aren't so good, it's rather rainy and cold here today in Tassie, I did add sparkles to Tilda and her car so that it looks like its sparkly in the sunshine... just a pity it didn't come out in the photo's... :-(

The below one is of the card undone!! I made a center panel with my new Martha Stewart punch around the page punches so it has the perfect spot for writing my message on!!

My First Sentimental Sunday's Design Team Card!!! WHOOHOOOOOOO

I put on my thinking cap and thought of my song - When you Wish Upon a Star by Louis Armstrong, and then I saw one of my newly acquired TeddyBo stamps and this is what I came up with!!

The Sentiment is: Amongst the Stars Sentiments which is from Raindrop Echo Designs at Whimsy Stamps!!  I then used the Large Postage Stamp Die to cut it out... (also from Whimsy Stamps) cute huh?

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #99

Hi, well it's Sunday and we have a new challenge for you to play along with at Magnolia Down Under...  this week's challenge is a colour recipe....

APRICOT, PURPLE and CREAM...

WOWZERS what a combo huh??  When I saw this one come up in the list, I was like OMG who on earth thought of this colour combo???  BUT as it turned out.... Apricot and Purple don't look too bad together - I'm rather impressed actually!! I think I might keep this colour combo!!!

So I did have lots of fun making this one, I've used heaps of Doo Hickey's but not all of them made it to this card... hahahah, I was going to stick on a swirl... but it just wouldn't fit!!

Hi, Over at Teddy Bo they have a brand new challenge happening - Shaped Cards!! Not only that they are wanting to add some new members... so I thought I would have a go, because I really love these cute little bears!!!

I have cut out a shape using my Cricut and I think this one is pretty fancy!! hahaha So here is my card I hope you like it!!

I "distressed" it with Walnut stain, and added some pretty lace and ribbon along with some gorgeous flowers... the little pebble butterfly is from K&Company - they are so pretty:-)
