La La Land Wild Child???

Hi Hi Everyone

So.... this post is scheduled because I'm currently in Melbourne more than likely watching a bit of TV re-covering from a power shopping expedition with Sue!!! HAHAHAH Tomorrow I am off to the Show grounds to check out Paperific before heading out to the airport to fly home:-)

Ooooo I don't reckon I will be getting much sleep next Friday night (well tonight) because I'll be as giddy as a school girl about tomorrow!! LOL

Anyway this week at La La Land we are inspiring you to go a little wild, with your cards... the theme as you know is Wild Child!!!  I've used Hunny Bunny Marci for my Wild Child card, and I've coloured her up so she is looking a bit funky, Punky Brewster like... LOL (now that is a blast from the past!! remember that TV show?) So here she is - I hope you love her as much as me:-)

It's an Easter Hunt at Paper Play

Howdy Folks

Well I can tell you a little secret, I'm flying off to Melbourne in the morning for a little bit of Shopping, and also I'm getting to meet a new friend Suzanne Kohler, who is a fellow teamie on La La Land Design Team!!! Ooooo So Exciting!!!! I'm heading over to the Paperific Paper Show at the Show Grounds on Saturday!!! I cannot wait to meet up with a few of my friends, and also for some yummy make and takes and what ever else I happen to find!! I'm spending the whole day at the show on Saturday - so if you happen to know me - and see me floating about - be sure to come and say Hi!!!! 

But that's not why I am here, I'm meant to be banging on about my new beaut card I made for you all!! It's featuring a bit of an oldie Magnolia Stamp... but how can I resist Hello Tilda for an Easter Card???? Oh by the way - the Theme this week at Paper Play is Easter!!! WHOOHOOOO I love Easter theme stuff:-) So here is my card, I hope you love it as much as me:-) 

So what do you think?? I'm rather pleased with how this one turned out... I guess maybe it has something to do with the absolute delish paper from Pion.... or maybe its the scrummy Memory Box Die??? or the super cute Bunny Charm??? I dunno I love it ALL!!!

Hi Everyone...

So this week it's my turn to have a little showcase at the Crafts and Me shop, and this week's it Elaina!!! She is designed by Hannah Lynn, and I just love the look of this little vampish girl!!

I have kept her hair as white as I can, because I could just see her with platinum blond hair!! I've added some SMOOCH to it, to give it a little bit of a pearlised look:-) Anyway here she is I hope you love her as much as me:-)

So I've added some feathers for a little bit of a flapper 1920's style hehehehe.  I've also added some Tim Holtz Washi tape to the side and my acetate images are Prima Stamps stamped with Stazon onto yep... Acetate... such a cool look:-) There is also a little bit of string on the bird cage:-) I coloured her fangs the same as her lips - only because I wanted her to be some what understated, if you get what I mean???

This week at Magnolia Down Under we are having a little game of Bingo - which is really more like Tic Tac Toe - but who cares right?

This week for my card I have used gorgeous little Jester Tilda... She is soooo cute... but aren't all magnolia stamps??  I've coloured her using some BV's and some R's and I think she turned out alright - I did try at little bit of the Distress Look with my Copic's but I don't think I hit the mark with that!!! Anyway here she is, I hope you love her as much as me:-)

Happy St. Patricks Day!!! well I'm actually a little early it's tomorrow the 17th but anyway.... It's Inspirational Friday at La La Land, and as you know the theme this week is Fantabulous Green!!! 

So this week, I couldn't resit colouring up Autumn Marci, I could just see her in a pretty Irish green hat, red hair and a pale coat!! I added the black because I thought that would look the nicest... I then added some sparkles, because well that's just me!! Anyway here she is I hope you love her as much as me!!!

Cali Girl

G'Day Everyone

It's Karen here, and this Wednesday I have Cali Girl by Hannah Lynn to show you all!!  I'm sure you have seen her before and she is actually a newbie digi at the Crafts and Me Store, so why not grab her for yourself.  

I love colouring Hannah's images, they have such gorgeous hair!!! Anyway My Cali Girl has black hair this week, well not that it's that dark, I need a few more copic's to be able to do that... but anyway it's kinda blackish... LOL I have given her some gorgeous green eyes and a bit of a purple dress!! So here she is I hope you love her as much as me!!!

My paper I have used is by Prima and Graphic 45.  My Lace is also by Prima... I used a bunch of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the seam binding is from there also.  I had a bronze metal trinket that I painted white and then stuck a pearl in the middle... it didn't look all that great being bronze on my card...


So there you go, I hope that you have been over to the store to get yourselves the new digi's for this month, they really are all so gorgeous...

Yes, can you believe it after 3 years, Magnolia Down Under is still going strong, I feel so lucky to be part of this fabulous team, actually we are more of a family than a team... it's so wonderful having a group of ladies that we can chat and share everything with - and I do mean everything, a place to go to solve a problem or maybe just for some advice - there is always someone willing to listen!! That's why I think of it as a family - not a team... while we all share in our passion for Magnolia Stamps!!!

Anyway - have you visited the blog???? You might want to.... we've had a bit of a face lift... and it's so gorgeous!! Kylie has done the most amazing job with the Banner and new Badges... YES that's Right new badges... in fact check this one here out: 

Gorgeous huh?  Feel free to pinch it if you want and pop it into your sidebar - we can wait to see our new Badge in blog land!!

So the theme for this week's Magnolia Down Under Challenge is.... BIRTHDAY'S hehehehe How did you Guess? heheheh This week I have used super cute and Brand new (and I don't think I've seen it in blog land either by someone else??? maybe I'm first??? I doubt it!!) Beanstalk Tilda and the Beanstalk background!! I love these stamps - they so cried out to me, when I first saw them.... anyway here is my card, I hope you all love it just as much as me:-)

Some-Thing Old, Some-Thing New

Howdy Folks

This week at Paper Play Challenges we are looking for Something Old, Something New.... 

And now I'm thinking of the rest of the poem, something borrowed and something blue.... and come to realise that Hey!!!! I could have made a Wedding Card for this one.... But anyway back to what I was saying... Something Old and Something New... so in my case I've used a New Stamp and some really old Basic Grey Papers that I bought when I was in London... Yep they are about 4 years old... how sad that it was that long ago.... anyway the pad is 6x6 and at the time I thought it was pretty cool and so unique size and product wise seeing a whole collection of paper in one pad LOL .... (the pad is called blush btw) how the times have changed... they are everywhere now and don't we all love it:-)
