Just Magnolia #79 Dawny's Sketch gets Sparkly at Totally Gorgus and Punchy with a Spoonful of Sugar

Well what a crapola day??  its been pouring with rain since last night and has only really just stopped for a bit.  Around our front door there is a giant puddle and the storm has pushed a lot of leaves and tree rubbish all over the front veranda as well.... yucky....

Anyway - so that means its a great card making day - sorry about the picture being a bit dodgy, but can't have everything can we??

So here is a Christmas Card that I have made using the Sketch over at Just Magnolia - I'm also going to enter my card into Totally Gorgus - Sparkle and Spoonful of Sugar - Punchy.... My card has punched snowflakes and well lots of sparkle - so I'm pretty well right there!!!

Ok so I just found out that Totally Gorgus Challenge - Sparkle has finished :-( bummer toooooo late!!

I've covered my image with Rock Candy - hahaha cool is this stuff?? anyway I really like the cracked effect I got - but you can't really see it that well in my photo :'(

There is also a bell under that flower - but its hiding here in the pic.... mmmmmmm didn't stick it on to good, too far under the flower... oops...

Just Magnolia #78 THINK PINK

Hi Everyone, today I have a Pink Christmas Card!! hehehe  I really need to get crackin' on my Christmas Cards, so now I have one less to make now - hahahah - so this week the Challenge at Just Magnolia is: Think Pink!!  As we know October is all about Pink - and raising money to fight and find a cure for Breast Cancer!!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #69

Well Good Morning Magnolia Fans!!  Its Sunday and its time for a brand spankin' new challenge at Magnolia Down Under!!  So this week I have something which is a little special - well to me, this is something I have been working on for a little while now - and it did take a long time, due to me being sick - grrrrrr so annoying..... So I'll tell you about the challenge and then I'll get to my work!! Oh and you might wanna grab yourself a coffee this post is kinda long!!!

So the Challenge this week is:

Travel

And here is what I made - its a Canvas

For those who know me, know, that I love to travel and that I have been very lucky to have travelled all over the world many, many times... So it has taken a long time to get this together, mainly because of the stamps -  trying to get my hands on them all.... I knew I wanted to do this, even before all the new Bon Voyage Stamps came out - hahahah !!

Ok so I have an Alota Stamp on it - side wall with window - is what its called.  I switched the window for the cute Magnolia Boutique one - awesome huh??  I then stamped the Clock and its Hands - which where supa tricky... Oh btw this is all Masked!! (took over an hour just to stamp the images!! and not all of them made it to the Canvas because well the canvas is a little on the small side!) So moving on, we have a newbie Travelling Tilda sitting on the suitcase with the sign - again masked... hehehe, then we have the Eiffel Tower, Old Oak Tree and the cute Shabby Chic Fence... they aren't masked - just singles.  So once I coloured them all up I then got to chopping... this bit took a long time too - so many fiddly bits in there!! Oh and then there's a few of Tilda's Bird's floating around and the Dragonfly Doo Hickey!!

So I filled in the gaps with flowers and cherry blossoms and a couple of Leaf's also a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die, then I made a sun, with just a circle I embossed it, sponged and glimmer misted it, and then made a fringe edge for it, with the same treatment of course!! hahaha

I have sponged the background with Distress ink, and also gave it a bit of a spray with Blue Glimmer Mist.... there is heaps of Kindy Glitz or Stickles as well!!!! So its a bit on the sparkly side - but that's me - I love Glitter!! hahahah

So now I just have to figure on how to hang it??  I can't decide if to just hang it with some cute ribbon or to actually get a Shadow Box frame.... I'm kinda thinking the frame - at the moment....

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #68

Good Morning Magnolia Fans, today is Sunday and that means time for a new Challenge!!!!  We had so many great entries for last week's Tag it, it was great to see so many different creations and so many different ways in which to use a Tag!!

Ok so this week we have a wonderful Sketch.  A few weeks ago we had a Sketch off within our Design Team and our sketch this week is by Debbie Pamment!!  Its a fabulous sketch so I'm sure you'll wanna play this week!!

Here is my card, hope you like it!!  I received my Magnolia Stamp Club on Thursday this week, WHOOHOO looks us little Aussie's were first this time around!!  So I quickly mounted my newbie Christmas Stamps and whipped up this:

I have used 3 of the new Stamps, Edwin with his List, the Sentiment and the tree, which I wasn't to sure about, but actually its rather nice when you stamp it for like a background!!  I have followed Debbie's Sketch but I then managed to cover up all the pretty papers with my Lace... Oh well these things happen hey?? Now After I had finished so I thought this card, I really thought it needed something else, but what???  anyway after a little blogland surfing I came across fellow Design Team Member Debbie Dolphin, who had put little snowflakes on her circle (on just so happens the same Edwin!!! hahaha) and I thought it looked really awesome, so I took my Inspiration from that!! Thanks Debbie!!

Just Magnolia #77 A Sketch By Dawny

Good Afternoon everyone, today I have finished making a cute little baby card for my Mum to give to the lady that does all the farm bookwork, she is apparently going to have a baby girl!!  Wow Lovely!!!  Anyway Mum wanted a cute little card to give to Ali, so I hope they will both love it as much as me!!

I have used the a new little cutie pie - Baby Tilda Sleeping... from the Autumn/Cozy Collection that was released recently!! 

I have also followed most of the sketch over at Just Magnolia - a Sketch by Dawny, the only thing I missed off was the sentiment.  I so wish I got the New Baby Stamp, and now I regret it, (a bit like I regret not getting the Bon Voyage one) I mean at the time I thought, well how often would I use that, and well turns out that I could have used it a few times!! Hahahaha bit like the Bon Voyage one, I could have used that one too!! Oh well..... we can't have everything can we??

MOLLIE MITTENS Christmas Preview Day 4

So I have coloured my Mollie with Copic's this time, I had a bit of a hard time as Mollie is a lot bigger to colour than what I'm used to, so I did have a bit of trouble blending, but I guess that just needs more practice!!

Just Magnolia #76 Challenge 2 by 2 Fun

Good Afternoon Everyone !!!! Just Magnolia have a really cool Challenge happening at the moment which is 2x2.... so 2 lots of stuff!! I thought this sounded like fun, so I made a card that kinda turned into a Christmas Card!! hahahah  here it is hope you like it!!

For my 2x2 I have 2 red check ruffles, 2 Pair of Red Brads, 2 Images, 2 Patterned Papers, 2 Cherry Blossom Flowers, and when you look at my gate fold card, unfolded, you can see I used 2 Christmas Post Marks!!  Such fun!!!

I'm not all that impressed with my water colouring on this one, so please don't look too hard at that!! I guess its because I'm not feeling that well, with this darn cold, that wont go away:-( anyway I'm not gunna let it stop me from what I love, Craftin' and my Magnolia's !!!  So I used a new Tilda, Tilda with Apples from the new Autumn Collection and an old one, the Apples in the bucket, I can't think which collection this one is from right now... oh well.... they do go together pretty darn good I reckon!!

So you need to pop a tag on your creation, or you could make just a tag if you like too!!  I decided to make like a Christmassy cook book, bookmark!!  and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  I think its too pretty to be sandwiched in between the pages forever... so I think I'll pop it up on the Cook Book shelf on display!!!  So here it is, hope you love it as much as me!!!!!!

Here is a close up so you can see the details!!  I've used Magnolia Doohickey's and a Stampin' Up Embosslet Die - Butterflies (so gorgeous) a Tassel and a really yummy flower off a flower ribbon strip by Prima!! Just a few of my favourite things:-)

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Hi Everyone, today I have a Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge Joy Fold card, that I finished off this morning!!  The current challenge is to use multiple images... So I have used a super cute Forever Friends Bear stamp that I recently acquired at my Local Scrap Shop, so cute I had to have it!!  for my multiple images I have used a little stamps with butterflies on it, you can see it better in the next picture down and my Friends Forever and Always sentiment!! Hope you like my card!!

So here is my Card that I made using the above Sketch, Hope you like it!! I've done a bit of Morphing... hehehehe with 2 Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  So I've used the head off one stamp and the body off the other.  Turned out pretty good I think. I was a bit worried that one head might be too small for the other stamp's body - but nope - perfect fit!!
